It's no secret that Kate Gosselin has been struggling with money, and new rumors suggest that she may be totally broke. Despite landing a new show on TLC, the former reality star is allegedly having to sell her twin's property, in an effort to make ends meet. This latest revelations comes after her ex-husband and longtime feud partner, Jon Gosselin, was evicted from his home. As if the bankruptcy rumors weren't enough, Kate also spent most of the summer battling claims that she is guilty of abusing her children.
Kate Gosselin once again finds herself in the headlines for selling off her children's clothing and toys. According to In Touch, the reality star may be just as broke as her ex-husband Jon Gosselin:
"They may not be married anymore, but it would appear that both Jon and Kate Gosselin are going through a tough time, financially speaking...Just a few days after it was revealed that the father-of-8 was evicted from his Pennsylvania home, a local radio station announced that the reality TV matriarch has a yard sale coming up this weekend!"
While it's certainly not uncommon for a mom to host a yard sale, Kate has been criticized in the past for selling items that were given to her children (versus donating them to charity).
This time, however, she made sure to donate at least a portion of the sales to a local charity, though the percentage she would be giving was not revealed.
Of course, these allegations pale in comparison to others levied against Kate over the summer.
The most damning of which come from Robert Hoffman, who wrote a scandalous tell-all about Gosling. Among a number of other serious claims, the author accused Kate of routinely abusing her children (via Radar Online):
"Kate said that she was instantly so SO angry that she grabbed him and spanked him as hard as she could and thought that she may seriously injure him so she sent him to his crib and whipped him into it very hard!"
It should be noted, however, that Mr. Hoffman offered up no proof to support his scandalous claims.
