‘HTGAWM’ Ratings Fall After Shonda Rhimes Defends Gay Scenes on Twitter? [VIDEO SPOILERS]

ABC How to Get Away with Murder showrunner, Shonda Rimes, has news for all the fans out there don't like her inclusion of gay characters in her series: Grow up or shut up. When one fan called out the recent gay scenes on her Scandal and her new Viola Davis driven TV show on Twitter, the queen of Shondaland let in on them-- highlighting their ignorance and ugliness. Last week How to Murder did happen to slip from its top spot on Thursday nights, but it probably doesn't have anything to do with the inclusion of homosexual characters. According to the latest rating  gossip report updates, Rhimes debut series was second only to her Kerry Washington helmed hit, Scandal.

ABC hitmaker Shonda Rimes' "no a--holes" policy must extend to Twitter as well as her three top rated primetime networks dramas.

A fan, presumably new to Rhimes' works, apparently hit a nerve with their incentive insistence on Twitter that Shonda should remove all the gay content from the show unless it served to move to plot along:

"@shondarhimes the gay scenes in Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder are too much."

"There is no point and they add nothing to the plot."

A much as Shonda Rhimes lives to serve her audience, the famous producer doesn't waste her time suffering the ignorance of fools:

As upset as the bigoted comments worked Shonda up into a frenzy of righteous anger, she still loves all her fans--even the ignorant hate filled social media trolls:

Sadly for the rookie series, How to Murder, has slipped form the Thursday night top spot to the number two position, but according to Headline Planet, that isn't exactly bad news for Rhimes:

"Down slightly in adults 18-49 and up slightly in total viewers, ABC's Scandal, for the first time this season, topped lead-out How to Get Away with Murder in both categories.

"Thursday's Scandal episode drew a 2.9 adults 18-49 rating with 9.84 million viewers.

"HTGAWM followed with a 2.8 rating and 9.79 million viewers."

Tune in every Thursday for Grey's Anatomy, Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder to catch all the most popular gay scenes on primetime television.
