While everyone state-side has been gushing over Dylan Penn's recent comments that Charlize Theron is the perfect girlfriend for her dad, Sean Penn, the South African actress has reportedly called the whole thing off while on the set of their new movie together, The Last Face. According to the latest gossip news updates, the Hollywood hot couple split after the Mystic River Oscar winner's marriage proposal was rejected on the set of the up-coming blockbuster. Sources in Cape Town claim that not only is a future wedding off, the movie may now even be endanger. It Sean's daughter with Robin Wright, who recently posed for topless nude pictures in Treats! Magazine, told her dad to go though with the popping engagement, it appears that the aspiring model may have given him some bad career as well as personal advice.
Well, the good news for Sean Penn this week is that his daughter, Dylan, absolutely adores his girlfriend Charlize Theron and thinks they are absolutely made for each other.
Dylan told Us Magazine that while she hasn't really talked to them in a while she is sure that those two love birds are doing just fine:
"She's awesome.
"They've been away for months working together in South Africa, so I haven't seen much of either of them. She's great and they're amazing together.
"And she's the only woman since my mom [Robin Wright] who can shut my dad up.
"The only woman! That is a f--king challenge so... She's a powerhouse."
It's funny that Dylan should compare Charlize to her mother, because just like Robin Wright, it is said that Charlize has no desire to be married to Penn.
A local news outlet in Cape Town, South Africa, Channel 24, claimed that they had a source that with firsthand knowledge of the Charlie and Sean's breakup:
"There's trouble in paradise on the South African set of Sean Penn's latest film.
"The Hollywood A-lister is reportedly acting out on set after Charlize Theron allegedly declined his marriage proposal."
The news of the split really isn't that much of a shock regardless of what Dylan thinks; one behind the scenes informant told OK! Magazine weeks ago that Sean and Charlie weren't getting along so well in their new roles as actor and director:
"In everyday life, Sean is pretty easy going, but he turns into a completely different person on set, especially when he's directing.
"He's a perfectionist and has been very critical of her acting. It's driving her insane."
Let's just hope for the sake of all their reputations that they at least get the rest of The Last Face in the bag before it really hits the fan down there in Africa.
