According to all the latest gossip news updates, the nonsense that Ellen DeGeneres has been perpetuating about her marriage to Portis de Rossi being better than ever is pure propaganda. Word has it that the day time TV talk show host's Arrested Development wife is so ready to split their combined net worth that she is literally willing to jump from a speeding car to escape her. Apparently, Ellen has lost all leverage over Portia now that she has a new reoccurring role alongside Kerry Washingotn on Shonda Rimes' ABC political drama, Scandal, and the much younger Australian Instagram beauty reportedly wants to get a divorce. Perhaps, over-controlling Ellen should have agreed to let de Rossi get pregnant with that baby after all.
When well-known philanthropists Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi pulled a couple no-shows at a recent charity event, it sent the celebrity divorce rumor mill into overdrive.
On source that spoke in In Touch Weekly's November 10, issue, claimed that the couple were on the way to the event--dressed to the nines--when an off-hand comment about Ellen being the real reason Portia was hired on Scandal sent the 41-year-old actress into a hysteric rage:
"Portia was raving about how she never felt more alive...[then] Portia lost it.
"She was screaming and threatening to jump out of the moving vehicle.
"Ellen tried to calm her down but nothing worked."
According to a statement in OK! Magazine's November 17, issue Ellen's reps claims that Ellen may take legal action against the charity in question for misleading the public about their absence:
"The organization was always aware that we would be unable to attend."
The insider that spoke to the publication, however, claims that not only is that not true, Ellen has been less than truthful about a lot of things as of late:
"Ellen wants the world to believe that she and Portia are happier than ever...But in reality they aren't.
"They haven't been happy for years.
"Now that she's sober, Portia realizes how unhappy she was, and she resents Ellen."
The behind-the-scenes spy goes on to explain that the latest source of contention centers on Portia's new role on Scandal and a shift in the power dynamic that has Ellen seeing red:
"Now that Portia is standing on her own two feet, Ellen feels like she doesn't need her anymore.
"Ellen can't stand that Portia isn't always available when she calls...But Portia is happy working on Scandal.
"They've had massive arguments over it."
Ellen better lock it up before she realizes the hard way that Portia isn't too old to resurrect her career and find somebody new.
