Despite years of rumors that Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are headed towards divorce, the A-list country couple's marriage is doing just fine. Lambert recently defended keeping her marriage and home life private, shortly before the bubbly singer swept this year's Country Music Awards.
Forget what you may have heard about one of country music's hottest couple, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert couldn't be happier.
The A-list duo recently sat down with 60 Minutes, although they refused to be interviewed together.
During Miranda's interview, the country singer was asked about keeping her home life and marriage private. According to Lambert, that's all she and Blake have these days (via Fox News):
"If we don't protect that, then we have nothing. We have to have something that's just for us. At some point you just have to go, 'All right, this is it, this is our line, you know?' We have our one little area of the world that no one can come into."
It may have just gotten a little harder for Miranda to maintain that coveted level of privacy, however.
The singing starlet virtually swept this year's CMAs.
As Rolling Stone reports, Lambert took home the prestigious Album of the Year award, as well as a number of others:
"The night's biggest winner in numbers, however, was Miranda Lambert. While she lost the Entertainer race to Bryan, Lambert did win Album of the Year for her LP Platinum, Single of the Year for 'Automatic' (which was presented by Steven Tyler, who opined, 'I think country is the new rock & roll') and Female Vocalist of the Year."
The recent press is likely good news for the couple, as Bruce and Miranda have been battling divorce rumors for years now. However, with Blake and Miranda's latest comments about their love--and Miranda's landslide CMA victory-fans are likely too swept up to care.
