“Of course I am! Venice, La Serenissima, is for me the epitome of romance, he continued.

“For many years, my wife and I have taken our own personal trip once a year to Italy. I'm a big fan of the Italian way of life. And so my new album is a declaration of love to Venice and the fantastic music of this country. And I hope that it will bring back the happiest of memories for you, the listener.”

Rieu’s Venetian ode includes classic Italian hits "O sole mio," "Volare," "Santa Lucia" and even the famous Barcarole by Jacques Offenbach, Also included here is Johan Strauss' glorious "Lagoon Waltz."

The title track, "Love in Venice," is written by André, along with "Bella Tarantella" and "La Gondola."  Each of the pieces on the album is given a sprinkling of stardust from Maestro Rieu, performed in his own unique and unforgettable way.
