Every Year it seems that Black Friday gets earlier and earlier. Stores that once opened at 4:00 a.m on Friday morning, now open at 5:00 p.m on Thursday. This has naturally upset some Americans who have feel that the Thanksgiving Holiday should be football and argument with their relatives. Well you might be happy to learn that Walmart is starting their shopping on Friday…..this week. Yes that is right, Walmart is offering early Black Friday price matching on select competitor items, beginning Friday November 21. Some of the deals available for early undercutting include, TVs, PlayStation 4s, Keurig, and even Legos. If that was not enough, Walmart will be offering its own deals on various items, including: Disney Frozen toys, phones, tablets and an iPad Air 2.
Walmart U.S.’ chief merchandising officer, Duncan Mac Naughton made a statement to the press about the big event (via Walmart.com)
“The retail environment is incredibly competitive and we know that our customers are looking to us for the lowest prices and great deals all season long. That’s why we’ve more than doubled the amount of items included in our Pre-Black Friday Event. Combined with our Black Friday weekend, there is absolutely no other place to shop this holiday season.”
The Walmart.com news report goes on to detail some of the items that will be part of the early sale, adding:
