For months now, rumors have been flying that Beyonce may divorce Jay Z over his alleged cheating. She added a little flame to that fire this week, when Beyonce released her newest song, "Ring Off." Does this mean that she is confirming those breakup rumors?
Some popular entertainment sites are suggesting this may be the case.
According to Hollywood Life, the song may signal the end of Beyonce and Jay Z's marriage. Regardless of the song's actual message, this was all it took for fans of the A-list couple to lose their minds:
"A snippet of Beyonce's new song, 'Ring Off,' was leaked online early Nov. 19. And on the track, the music superstar tells the story of a woman trying to leave a bad relationship. Is she referring to her own relationship with Jay Z...Of course, this song doesn't bode well for Bey Z fans. In fact, fans are now freaking out on Twitter - they're worried the new track is not a work of fiction."
Of course, not everyone agrees.
Time, one of the most trusted names in all of news, happens to disagree. According to them, the song isn't even about divorce.
Instead, the single focuses on Beyonce's mother and how much better her life was after leaving a bad marriage:
"It's a celebration of Tina Knowles's newfound independence, telling her to put her 'love on top,' a witty reversal of Beyoncé's own song of the same title. The song 'Love on Top,' a fan favorite, is a celebration of prioritizing marital love; Beyoncé telling her mother 'it's your time to put your love on top' is an encouragement to put herself and her own happiness first."
