Fort Worth Opera Festival April 20-May 12

Fort Worth Opera Festival will begin April 20, 2013, and will conclude May 12, 2013. Fort Worth Opera will offer its seventh festival with Puccini's 'La Boheme,' including Donizetti's 'The Daughter of the Regiment.'

The program for this year's Fort Worth Opera Festival will also contain Richard Strauss' 'Ariadne auf Naxos,' with Marjorie Owens in the role of Ariadne.

The program will conclude with Cipullo's 'Glory Denied,' based on the best-selling book telling the story of Colonel Floyd James (Jim) Thompson, America's longest-held prisoner of war as he looks back on his years as a captive.  The role of Colonel Floyd James (Jim) Thompson will be portrayed by baritone Michael Mayes.
