When it comes to all the various rumors surrounding the marriage of Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger it is hard to know what to believe, as the stories seems to push and pull in very different directions. One month the couple are getting pregnant, and then divorced only to then have their friends beg them to call off the split -- it's exhausting. According to Chad Kroeger, you shouldn't take any of the innumerable gossip news updates out there to heart. The "Complicated" Instagram bikini feet model's husband claims that being famous is like being back in high school. You hardly ever know exactly what is being said behind your back, because it is always pure B.S.
Right at about four or five months into their marriage, Chad Kroeger and Avril Lavigne had to start dealing with all the tabloid stories claiming that they were spoiled Canadian riff-raff on the verge of divorce.
A source speaking to E! News claimed that Chavril's friends were so upset by all the recent rumors of divorce that they decided to make sure the couple were going to be fine:
"Things still aren't good...But Avril's friends are encouraging her to try and work it out.
"They don't like Chad, but she's already been through one painful divorce and they don't want to see her going through another unless there's no other option.
"Also, she and Chad haven't been married that long so her friends want her to make sure she's given it every chance before pulling the plug."
As ridiculous as that story sounds, Chad admitted that very often friends and family can't tell the difference between what is legitimate news and what is tabloid nonsense.
The Canadian frontman explained to ET Canada, that he even has to straighten his own dad out from time to time:
"You know my dad calls me up and he's just like, 'I haven't slept in 2 days, what's going on?'
"I'm like, 'Dad you're not buying all this crap are you?'"
Kroeger explained that if you wanted to get a good idea what it was like having to deal with the tabloids as a semi-celebrity, you need only think back to the worst thing said about you in high school and then multiple that by a thousand:
"When you get out of high school, and it's like ugh, okay. All that rumor crap.
"All that stuff that people say behind each other's backs is minuscule, pales in comparison to the world of celebrity or being married to a celebrity.
"That's high school multiplied exponentially. It's ridiculous."
You have to wonder...did a real celebrity tell Chad that or did her just read it from a book or something like that?
