There was no winner for this weekend’s Powerball lottery jackpot, meaning that tonight’s all new game total has risen once again. Check to see how close to $100 million the new game has gotten before you your tickets.
The official Powerball lottery news info crawl, currently reads:
“There were no jackpot winners for Saturday's drawing... The next drawing will be Wednesday, November 26th, 2014.”
That means that tonight’s all new total has reached an impressive $80 million with an estimated cash value of $49.7 million.
The official Powerball lottery website is reporting the winner of a recent $228.4 million jackpot:
“California's latest multi-millionaire wasted no time coming forward and claiming his massive $228.4 million jackpot! Vinh Nguyen walked into the California Lottery's Hayward District office late Thursday afternoon with his winning Powerball ticket in hand.
“Nguyen was the sole winner in Wednesday night's Powerball drawing matching the numbers 7, 14, 24, 41, 21 and the Powerball number 26.
“While Nguyen said he did not wish to do media interviews, he did talk about what his life has been like for the mere 20 hours between Wednesday night's draw and when he decided to claim his prize.”
The official Powerball website also goes on to warn players to play responsibility:
