Ballet San Jose to present world premiere ballet on April 19-21

Bay Area ballet company Ballet San Jose will play this month of April a new world premiere of 'Eighty One,' choreographed by Jessica Lang. The ballet will be set to the score by Jakub Ciupinski.

The program also includes company premieres of 'Glow-Stop' and 'Duets.'

'Glow-Stop' is an exciting athletic work set to the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Philip Glass, while 'Duets' features six couples dancing series of pas de deux by choreographer Merce Cunningham.

Eighty One (World Premiere)

Glow-Stop (Company Premiere)

Choreography: Jorma Elo

Music: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (Symphony No. 28 in C, 4th Movement) and Philip Glass (Tirol Concerto for Piano and Orchestra, 2nd Movement)

Duets (Company Premiere)

Choreography: Merce Cunningham

Music: John Cage (Improvisation III)
