Popular Korean Pop Boy Band B.A.P Files Lawsuit Against Agency For 'Slave Wages' and Unfair Treatment, TS Entertainment Responds

Popular South Korean boy band B.A.P has filed a lawsuit to nullify their contract with their agency TS Entertainment citing slave wages and unfair treatments as their reasoning.

All six members of the group have filed papers to the Seoul Court with rumors that the contract was designed to be beneficial to the agency only and disadvantageous to the members. The boys are the said to have only received 18,000,000 KRW which equals to about $16,000 USD per member for the 3 years that they have been active.

Following the lawsuit, which was released in November, TS Entertainment has decided to fight back, sharing a lengthy statement addressing multiple issues that media outlets have reported. The statement was shared on the company's Facebook page in Korean, English and Japanese. "What is certain is the TS Entertainment did nothing illegal,” they say, “We have never treated B.A.P unfairly or forcefully.” TS Entertainment claims that they were unaware of any problems with the group members and the label and that media reports spun the situation so that the record label was viewed in a negative light.

It seems as if TS Entertainment is still trying to continue their professional relationship with B.A.P, however, will not put up with a lack of communication from the group.

"TS Entertainment hopes the B.A.P members can tell us frankly what they want and look again at the dreams that we aimed for together early in their debut. However, if the members continue to block conversation even with continuous attempts for communication and want to take matters to court, the label will respect their decisions and find a clear solution in court."

TS Entertainment's statement ended with an apology to fans, stating that they are doing their best to find a solution for the situation.

Looks like fans of B.A.P, which stands for Best Absolute Perfect, can only sit and wait for drama to play out.
