Word has it that the Bravo producers have finally had enough of the Real Housewives of Orange County old school veterans and are ready for an old school purge. According to the latest gossip news updates, the powers that be at the network have decided to fire Tamra Barney Judge, Vicki Gunvalson and the rest of the "old" cast members to make way for people that the audience actually cares about. There has been no confirmation if Tamra and Vicki's recent behind-the-scenes allegation had anything to do with their reported dismissal, but clearly the embarrassment didn't convince the Real Housewives head honchos to allow them to return.
The internet was ablaze last week with reports that former Real Housewives of Orange County star Alexis Bellino would be returning to the show, once filming resumes thanks to an oddly captioned picture with Vick Gunvalson that she posted to Instagram:
"What people think doesn't matter. What people DO does matter."
A source that claimed to have all the inside info told Radar Online , that it was those kind of sad attempts for attention that prompted the Bravo producers to fire the entire lineup of boring old Housewives:
"Alexis is desperate for attention and by posting it likely is trying to get people think she is returning to the show, but she is not.
"None of the old housewives will be coming back to the show for this season.
"Bravo has no interest in their storylines, which is why they were gone in the first place!"
If Tamra Barney and some of the old feuders are really going to be pushed out by Bravo, new mom Lydia McLaughlin claimed in Star Magazine's December 29, issue that she would definitely be up for returning to the series:
"With a 1-month old, fighting with Tamra is the furthest thing from my mind.
"But I can't say that I wouldn't ever go back...You never know!"
What do you think? Other than perhaps keeping them around for a Real Housewives All-Stars spin-off is there any reason for the OG ladies of the OC should not to be out to pasture?
