Word has it that Katherine Heigl is ready to throw some money at the bad reputation problem she has in Hollywood to see if that won't clear things up. According to the latest gossip news updates, the former Grey's Anatomy star is digging deep into her net worth to shower the cast and crew of State of Affairs with gifts for Christmas in order to change people's minds about her. In fact, things are going so well between Katherine and co-star Chris McKenna, that the latest onset rumor is they are secretly dating, despite the fact that Heigl is already married to Josh Kelly.
Katherine Heigl can't ignore what people think about her even if she wanted to thanks to Twitter followers and recent interviewers constantly broaching the subject, so she's reportedly planning to do something about it.
While Katherine doesn't really think she's done anything to warrant anywhere near the backlash that she endured following talking trash about Grey's Anatomy and Knocked Up, it's rumored that she wants to make sure her new cast and crew love her.
A secret onset source claims in OK! Magazine's December 29, issue that Heigl is spending tons of dough trying to buy the affections of her State of Affairs coworkers:
"Katherine started off by bringing cakes and treats to the set, but it's really escalated going into the holidays.
"She's not just buying coworkers coffee cups with their names on them, she's buying coffee machines too."
The behind-the-scenes spy went on to explain that everyone kind of knows what Heigl is up, but they can't help but love her for it anyways:
"This could be Katherine's last chance to change the industry's perception of her.
"She doesn't mind spending half her paycheck on coworkers if it will make her look better.
"She knows that people are saying that she's trying to buy their approval, but it actually seems to be working."
It's working so well in fact that there is a rumor going around now that Katherine and co-star Chris McKenna are forgetting that they are just acting in their hot scenes together.
The crackerjack sleuths at the Gossip Cop's website insist however that nothing of the like if actually going around the State of Affairs set:
"There's been no speculation whatsoever about real-life sparks between Heigl and McKenna."
