'RHONJ' Teresa Giudice Home Raided by Feds Before Prison Sentence Date? US Attorney Speaks Out

In a shocking turn of events, something unfortunate may have happened to Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, who will shortly begin serving her prison sentence. According to a major U.S. gossip site, Teresa's home was raided by federal agents, who reportedly took even the Christmas presents. But now the U.S. Attorney's office has commented on the situation.

It was already likely that Teresa Giudice and her family were going to have a rough Christmas this year. After all, the family matriarch will soon be headed to prison. And, when she is released, her husband will then begin his five year stint in the pen.

To make matters worse, Radar Online ran an article earlier in the week, where they claimed that the feds stormed the Giudice compound before the holidays.

One source even reports that agents took their children's Christmas presents:

"Christmas just got a whole lot bleaker for the Giudice family. RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that federal officials raided Joe & Teresa's New Jersey mansion this week, seizing property to satisfy the couple's outstanding restitution after they had failed to set-up a payment plan...A source close to the situation told Radar, 'Plasma televisions, expensive jewelry, cash, and even the kids' Christmas presents were taken.'"

Of course, you can't believe everything you read on the internet, and it appears that may be the case with Radar's latest article.

Gossip Cop is now reporting that the news article was erroneous. In fact, the United States Attorney Office is claiming that the story was completely made up:

"Mark Reilly, a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney's Office, tells Gossip Cop the report is 'not true...We have not gone out there, and we haven't sent anyone out there. We do not know where this came from...[the story is] not based on reality,' we're told. Reilly explained that this kind of action would not happen, since federal authorities have already worked out an arrangement with the Giudices for restitution."
