When you first ask Vanderpump Rules star Katie Maloney about forgiving her boyfriend, Tom Schwartz, in Season 3, she claims that it has something to do with growing up and not acting like a 15-year-old girl, but with just a little more prodding Kate admits that she did it to spite Stassi Schroeder's old lover, Jax Taylor. According to the latest gossip news updates, Jax is on a rampage to expose all the other "villains" on the Bravo TV show, but Katie isn't taking the bait. The Sur server has also forgiven Kristen Doute for cheating on Tom Sandoval and starting a bunch of drama after 2014's reunion aired. It seems that Taylor is going to have to try a whole lot harder if he's going to successfully breakup Tom and Katie.
It probably shocked some of Katie Maloney's Vanderpump Rules fans when she immediately forgave her boyfriend for admittedly making out with two different women in the same night, but Tom Schwartz' girlfriend just wasn't prepared to let Jax Taylor win.
During an interview she did for OK! Magazine's December 29, issue Katie explained that she took Tom back, because four-years of your life was too much of an investment to just throw away without any actual proof of intercourse:
"I didn't wan to make an impulsive decision.
"Giving out relationship of four and a half years a little consideration was important.
"I realized that I was at fault for adding to some of the tress in our relationship...[and] he was honest and came clean.
"And I'm not 15.
"My boyfriend making out with someone else isn't enough for me to throw away everything we have."
During a more candid interview with Realty Tea, however, Katie admitted that her decision to stay with Schwartz ultimately had just as much to do with not letting Jax Taylor get his way as it did doubling down on her semi-committed relationship with Tom:
"I didn't want Jax to be the reason that I leave my boyfriend.
"[Tom] and I were able to compromise on him maintaining a friendship with Jax but that he would never interfere again."
In the same interview, however, it did sound as though Katie was able to genuinely forgive Kirsten Doute -- though for what offense is still uncertain:
"I'm not holding a grudge or punishing Kristen for sleeping with Jax. Kristen really did make our lives hell at times, it was just not good.
"I don't think she was taking into consideration her part of the deterioration.
"I think that Tom is absolutely happy with Ariana and Kristen should try to find that for herself."
Be careful what you wish for there, Katie...Kristen has a habit of trying to find happiness with other cast member's boyfriend.
