Word has it that Michael Douglas is outclassing his costar, Orlando Bloom, on the set of their new movie together, Unlocked. According to the latest gossip news updates, the Hobbit elf has been losing his cool and acting like a child on location in Prague in his attempts to get the kind of respect that Katherine Zeta-Jones' husband seems to commands without effort. While the Lord of the Rings star admittedly spent Christmas with his ex-wife, Miranda Kerr and their son, Flynn, in their native Australia, it's rumored that the Victoria's Secret Instagram feet model's nicest gift came from her supposed billionaire boyfriend, James Packer -- in the form of a pair of $100,000 diamond earrings.
One might think that Orlando Bloom might try to do everything in his power to make a good impression on one of the few major motion pictures he has been cast in that didn't start as a Tolkien novel or have "pirates" in the title, but the reports coming out of the Iset in Prague tell a very different story.
A source on set with Orlando and his legendary co-star, Michael Douglas, claims in January 5, issue of In Touch Weekly that Bloom is making a fool of himself in order to garner the amount of attention that seems to follow the acting icon wherever he goes:
"Michael has more directional say and is getting paid more, so Orlando feels like he isn't getting the same respect.
"Orlando is acting like a child!
"He recently had a meltdown and locked himself in his trailer...and the [production] team doesn't take kindly to that."
Further emasculating Orlando are the reports that though his ex-wife, Miranda Kerr, may have spent the holidays with Bloom, her most impressive gift by far came from billionaire Australian, James Packer, who the model has been reportedly dating for months.
A secret insider told Woman's Day that Kerr's on-again, off-again sugar daddy gave her a set of diamond earrings that supposedly cost $100,000:
"He bought them for her about four weeks ago.
"They're amazing earrings -- the sort of Christmas baubles every girl wants!"
While Miranda has insisted that she is single despite all the reports that have here getting serious with Packer, Kerr did confirm that she and Orlando really are spending this time together, at least (via 3news):
"This [year] has been so busy, so I'm really looking forward to spending Christmas and some downtime with Flynn, Orlando and my family and friends...just to relax, enjoy and indulge a little.
"I could be anywhere in the world and enjoy Christmas, it's such a magical time of the year...As long as I'm surrounded by my loved ones that's all that matters."
Does someone really need to explain to Orlando that he only has the momentum from one more Peter Jackson movie to get his movie career back on track...after all, J.R.R Tolkien isn't exactly going to be writing a Hobbit 2 anytime soon.
