Guitarist and band leader of popular K-pop group F.T. Island, Choi Jong-hoon released his first painting exhibition in Japan’s Tower Records.

The exhibition ran for a week in FNC Kingdom Exhibition Hall in the Japan Tower Records Tokyo Shibuya store and displayed five of the multi-talented artist's work.

"Although I am far from a professional, I will be displaying my work in Japan," Choi said in a statement to the Korean media. "I am trying to find my own style of art while I continue to draw many different pieces. Please keep a lookout for me."

The exhibition is part of FNC Entertainment’s FNC Kingdom family concert. The theme of Choi’s show was starlight, with the guitarist exhibiting his works entitled “Deep Dream," "Rock My Story," "2009 So Long, Au Revoir," "2008 Live House Tour” and “Over There.”

Choi is known for his artistic passion creating the visuals for F.T. Island's arena tour The Passion. His work for the band was featured on T-shirts as well as their first Japanese album So Long, Au Revoir.

This is the first time Choi displayed his artwork, gathering interest from the fans who support his various activities in art. But he is not the only band member to explore his art. The lead vocalist of F.T. Island, Lee Hong-gi, is an actor currently starring in the SBS weekend drama Modern Farmer.

F.T. Island have also recently announced two United States shows in their tour for late January, marking the States's first Korean concerts of 2015. Extending their 2015 F.T. Island [FTHX] tour, the band announced on Facebook that they are "happy to be able to show you great concerts in NY and LA in January 2015,” the latter city marking the quintet's first performance since March 2012.
