Jennifer Lopez Makes $2 Million before HBO Marc Anthony Divorce Documentary ‘Dance Again’? [NET WORTH NEWS]

Jennifer Lopez may be single since dumping former boyfriend Casper Smart earlier in the year, but her career is booming. In addition to dropping a new album, working on American Idol and being the subject of a new HBO documentary titled, Dance Again, which premieres this New Year's Eve, J Lo is also pulling down nearly $2 million for private gigs. According to the latest gossip news updates, Ben Alfeck's ex made an astounding $1.75 million for a 40-minute long primate concert just before Thanksgiving. Speaking of ex's, the "Booty" singer explained that the HBO doc is as much about her finding herself after her divorce to Marc Anthony as it is about her music.

Not only was Jennifer Lopez "Booty" the talk of the town over the summer, 45-year-old Jenny from the Block is still commanding some pretty impressive concert fee these days as well.

A source with all the behind-the-scenes details claimed in Life & Style's December 29, issue that when you factor in all the perks Lopez recently earned about $1.75 million for less than an hour of work:

"She had a deal to give a 40-minute performance for a family of casino magnates.

"Several Hundred thousand dollars were paid up front, just for J Lo's travel expenses.

"Her team [also] requested more than 20 room, including one VIP suite for her, in a five-star hotel for up to three nights."

When you factor in that along with the album sales and whatever Jennifer got paid for her current HBO documentary, premiering tonight at 9 p.m., 2014 must have been fairly lucrative for Lopez.

The former Fly Girl told Fox News that the new movie was as much about her struggle to find herself after her divorce to Marc Anthony as it was any tour:

"I had just gotten divorced, was a single mom for the first time (and) decided to go tour the world.

"Looking at all my music and putting this show together and seeing, 'Who was I as a person? As an artist? What did I want to say with this show?' ...It was self-reflective."

Jennifer Lopez may not have a steady man just yet...but with the kind of superstar success she enjoys, it's not like she needs one.
