Mysterious Hip Hop Group Death Grips Releases Surprise Instrumental Album Titled "Fashion Week" - Fans Wait for New Album "Jenny Death"

Underground experimental hip hop group and all-around internet mystery, Death Grips, has released a collection of instrumental tracks titled Fashion Week.

The group, who is known for keeping things pretty under wraps, have released the 14-track instrumental album with little details. The project surfaced on YouTube, described only as an “Instrumental Full-Length Soundtrack.”

Notoriously secretive, many wondered when the groups next album would be released. However, it was announced that the long-awaited second half (Jenny Death) of The Powers That B, is set to arrive in the U.S. on Feb. 10 and Japan Feb. 25 through Harvest Record.

All of these new releases are a bit confusing to followers of Death Grips, who believed the band to be broken up after they posted a note to their Facebook page on a piece of toilet paper.

"we are now at our best and so Death Grips is over. we have officially stopped. all currently scheduled live dates are canceled. our upcoming double album "the powers that b" will still be delivered worldwide later this year via Harvest/Third Worlds Records. Death Grips was and always has been a conceptual art exhibition anchored by sound and vision. above and beyond a "band". to our truest fans, please stay legend,” says the infamous post.

The first single of Jenny Death, titled "Inanimate Sensation," is not on Fashion Week, which suggests it's all new material. Though the new music seems to have fallen from the sky, a Reddit user posted the .zip folder four months ago, which he claims he got from Death Grips producer Andy Morin's website, where it sat openly for a few minutes. However, most people deemed it a hoax until the official drop was made.

Rumor has it that the band will be embarking on a tour despite break-up allegations. Guess fans will just have to wait and see. Until then, check out Fashion Week.
