EXCLUSIVE: NPR's 'First Listen Live' with Iggy Pop and the Stooges @ (Le) Poisson Rouge [PHOTOS]

NPR Music and WNYC's Soundcheck teamed up to present Iggy & The Stooges yesterday afternoon at the West Village club (Le) Poisson Rouge.

Pop, original drummer Scott Asheton, long lost guitarist James Williamson and the incomparable Mike Watt--filling in for the late Ron Asheton--tore through songs from their new album, Ready to Die.

(Speaking of, All Songs Considered's Bob Boilen reviewed that record for NPR's "First Listen" series, too.)

Ready to Die is out tomorrow--via Oxford, Mississippi's Fat Possom Records.

Of course, there were plenty of ol' standards to go 'round--in particular, a raucous "Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell."

And you just have to see the pics of Iggy and fans crowded on stage together.

We leave you with but one caveat...care of NPR Music, itself:

(Language Advisory: This was a live event, and therefore unpredictable.)
