With the new Justice League movies just a few years away, and a Green Lantern film planned for 2020, the hunt is on to find out who will replace Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) as the Emerald Knight. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (G.I. Joe, WWE) was rumored to play the role of Green Lantern John Stewart befor it was announced that he was cast to play Black Adam in the upcoming Shazam! film. Idris Elba (The Wire) is also a fan favorite, but his role in Marvel’s Thor and Avengers franchise could eliminate him from working with DC Comics. Now, Tyrese Gibson (Transformers, The Fast and Furious) has been teasing his possible casting by sharing fan art on Instagram and Facebook. Then again, if Warner Brothers decides to recast the role of Hal Jordan, they could move heaven and earth to cast their golden boy, Bradley Cooper (American Sniper, The Hangover), in the role.

However, it is entirely possible that they could recast the role of Hal Jordan. Forbes has placed American Sniper and Guardians of the Galaxy star Bradley Cooper on the top of their Ryan Reynolds replacement list, citing his successful relationship with Warner Brothers.
