The fans of Joan Rivers acerbic wit on Fashion Police were mostly excited to hear that stand-up comic, Kathy Griffin, would be talking the iconic comedienne's spot on the TV show, but word has some of the original cast members aren't so happy to have her on board. According to the latest gossip news updates, Kelly Osbourne doesn't think that D-list joke teller's irreverent humor is funny at all and is already tired of her on set comments. If Ozzy's youngest really is complaining about Kathy's humor, it certainly hasn't stopped her mercilessly ribbing Taylor Swift or the Keeping Up with The Kardashians crew, who she claims she is having to abandon due to their multiplying like rabbits.
Anyone familiar with Kathy Griffin's style of stand-up comedy would probably recognize Joan Rivers' influence in her act; so, few would argue that the D-list reality star wouldn't be a perfect to take over Joan's spot on Fashion Police after her tragic passing last year.
In a recent article the NY Daily News noted that Kathy seemed like a perfect fit for the series -- given Kathy comedic style of pulling no punches when it comes to picking on her fellow celebrities:
"[The Kardashians] keep multiplying and you can't sterilize them, it's illegal.
"If you think I give a sh-t about any of the Kardashians when I'm so busy with Bruce Jenner...I no longer care about Kim or Kylie or 'Candle' -- I don't care about any of them.
"It's all Bruce, all the time. I'm on Bruce watch, and I support it if Bruce wants to be LGBTQA12345...whatever Bruce wants to be."
Unfortunately, it is being reported that fellow Fashion Police cast member, Kelly Osborne, can't stand Griffin or her Kim Kardashian putdowns.
One source speaking in the February 9, issue of Life & Style magazine claimed that the tensions between the two were leading to an uncertain future for the rest of the Fashion crew as well:
"Kelly and Kathy are already having issue...Kelly is always rolling her eyes and not laughing at Kathy's jokes.
"Kelly can't stand Kathy. She doesn't think she is as funny as Joan and feels like she doesn't have any fashion sense of knowledge.
"Everyone is acting like all is well, but Kathy takes some getting used to...No one knows how long this will last."
Another Joan Rivers will never come along, but it hardly seems fair for Kelly Orbourne or anyone else to take that out on Kathy Griffin.
