Blake Shelton Spoofs ‘Bachelor’ after Chris Soules Eliminates 2015 Contestant for Lying about Love [VIDEO NEWS]

While ABC's hit reality dating show, The Bachelor, is often treated as a joke in the media, this year's contestants are making it really easy for the likes of Blake Shelton to poke fun at the franchise on Saturday Night Live. According to the latest gossip news updates, even Iowa farm boy, Chris Soules, noticed that 2015 hopeful, Ashley Salter was just playing at being a real person. That is why the Season 19 star sent Salter packing on the TV show this week following her insane antics and unbelievable declaration of love. Apparently, a premature, "I love you," is just the kind of thing to get you eliminated after an intense make out session with Andi Dorfman's ex Bachelorette boyfriend.

There have been no shortage of nutty Bachelor contestants over the years, but Ashley Salter of Chris Soules' Season 19 cast may very well take the cake.

Even though the supposed hair-dresser certainly freaked out some of her fellow contestants with her over-the-top satire of human interaction, Chris claims in his People blog that it was her blatant dishonesty -- not her insanity -- that was the deciding factor in her being sent home (via Al.com):

"Speaking of a little crazy, let's talk about Ashley S.

"I wasn't really flattered because I knew what she was saying wasn't true; it was the full moon talking! That conversation was definitely the last straw in my relationship with Ashley S."

No one would deny that Ashley was acting like she was more fit for a strait jacket than a husband during her time on the show, but Salter's childhood friend, Joey Celano, explained in the February 2, issue of In Touch Weekly that he expected Ashley acted the way she did to get out of the toxic Bachelor atmosphere as soon as possible:

"In my opinion, she went on the show thinking it was real and started seeing the fakeness of reality TV.

"She said, 'This is bad, I'm going to opt myself out."

Although that could be true, Life & Style spoke to a former co-worker of Ashley's that claimed Salter wouldn't have to act too out of character to come off as not quite right in the head:

"I would definitely describe her as a quirky girl.

"Her personality was just different.

"Maybe they've been editing her to look crazy, but she definitely been giving them a lot of material to work with!"

Whether Ashley's really crazy or not she has probably ruined her chances at being ABC's next Bachelorette...though a shot at Bachelor in Paradise isn't necessarily out of the question.
