Damon Albarn, Nick Zinner and Brian Eno Collaborate to Perform Terry Riley's 'In C' for 50th Anniversary, Courtesy of Africa Express

Recently Africa Express put together Malian and Western musicians -- including Damon Albarn, Nick Zinner and Brian Eno -- to perform Terry Riley's masterpiece In C. And the performance, too, comes just in time for its 50th anniversary.

The full, 40-minute piece is accompanied with a visual concept directed by Ronald Hamilton, which was recorded and edited by Jeff Wootton. The film had its premiere on Pitchfork and is now available via YouTube.

Africa Express is an organization that brings together multiple cultures to convene over music and collaborate on genres. The latest album, Africa Express Presents ... Terry Riley's In C Mali, which gets a physical release via Transgressive, is a new interpretation of Terry Riley's composition.

The piece was recorded in 2013 at the Maison des Jeunes youth club in Bamako, Mali, and was conducted by André de Ridder. Alongside Eno and Albarn, other performers included Adama Koita, Bijou, Cheick Diallo and Modibo Diawara.

So without further ado, and with a nod to Tate and the Space for having produced the video, which took place last November at the Turbine Gallery at the Tate Modern, make your way to Transgressive here and check out the exclusive video for In C Mali.
