Florida ‘Zombie’ Cat Comes Back From Grave: Receives Surgery After ‘Miracle Resurrection’ [PHOTOS]

There is a new story for making the rounds of a supposed “zombie cat” who dug himself out of his grave in Tampa Bay Florida. The cat’s name is Bart, and he has been tastefully re-dubbed the “Miracle Cat” by the Tampa Bay Humane Society, who are currently treating his injuries. Bart was hit by a car, suffering a broken jaw, and losing an eye.

The cat’s owner Ellis Hutson spoke with NBC affiliate WFLA about Bart’s “resurrection.”

"It's a miracle. All I can think is, 'it's a miracle.' It just wasn't time for the cat to go. If this didn't happen to me, I'd want to hear the story. But this is what i experienced, and this is what happened," Hutson said.

Ellis insisted that the Bart the cat was dead when he was buried, adding:

"It had to have been touched by the Lord or something. I can't explain it. The cat was buried. The cat was dead, and my neighbor brought it back to my house."

Bart received emergency surgery at the Tampa Bay Veterinary Emergency Service center

Bart had to receive a blood transfusion. Luckily an adoptable cat, Draco, was a perfect match.

Draco, redubbed the “Hero Cat” is doing well and is currently available for adoption.
