Kenny G Lays Claim to Starbucks' Frappucino at the Ground Floor Courtesy of Competitor Company Coffee Bean

Having become an enemy of the Chinese government, now there's more to the anomaly. Kenny G is now taking credit for inventing the Frappuccino and we swear this is no joke. Having invested in the company at the ground floor, he brought the idea to founder Howard Schultz courtesy of a competing brand.

In a recent interview with Bloomberg, G talked about his early days with the then-to-be corporation and coined the idea from another coffee company, Coffee Bean. Apparently, the store was selling a "sweet blended" drink, which had patrons lined up around the corner at the Bean.

Kenny says of the experience:

"At the beginning, Starbucks didn't have anything but coffee. And there was another company, Coffee Bean, that had something called "blended" that was a sweet drink, and people were lined up around the block. And I would always call Howard and say, 'Howard, there's this thing that they do there that's like a milkshake or whatever.' And so I think that part of the reason that they did Frappuccino was people like me giving them that kind of feedback."

Soon after, the iconic drink became a Starbucks cornerstone and won the hearts of coffee drinks abound. G continued, "I'd like to think I was partially responsible for that."

So whatever the story may be, here is the G man below.
