Kurt Cobain's old wife, Courtney Love, may have cleaned up her act significantly since embarrassing herself on national television at the Pamela Anderson roast all those years ago, but the musician/actress may also still has a little way to go. According to the latest gossip news updates, the Hole frontwoman seems to be sober on the set of the new hit TV show, Empire, but she is still causing problems for production. Word has it that Courtney always shows up very late and often without having her lines memorized. As frustrating as her current quirks may be, things could always be a lot worse when dealing with the former heroin addict, who has repeatedly admitted to using the drug while pregnant with Nirvana daughter, Francis Bean.
Ever since she wowed audience with her spot on portrayal of a hardcore junkie in The People vs. Larry Flint, fans and critics alike have acknowledge that Courtney Love has a girt for acting, but sometime her antics get in the way of her doing the job.
A behind-the-scenes production source on Empire, revealed in the February 9, issue of Star Magazine that despite being clear headed, working with Love can sometimes seem like an exercise in futility:
"She'll come to a shoot more than an hour late and then act clueless about being late!
"Sometimes she has her lines memorized, sometimes she doesn't -- and when she doesn't she'll just wing it.
"But when Courtney wings it, the lines she says have nothing to do with what was written in the script!"
As difficult as it may be to work with Love these days, at least, folks no longer seem worried about Courtney endangering her life or the lives of those around like they had to in the past;.
In a new documentary entitled, Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck, Courtney even publicly admits that she even once did heroin while pregnant with daughter, Francis Bean, back in the day (via Yahoo! News):
"I used it once then stopped...I knew she would be fine."
Of course, when Love spoke to The Mix back in 2011, she actually explained that that "one time" lasted just under month:
"I used heroin in the first three weeks of my pregnancy -- but so f--king what!?
"I didn't even know I was pregnant at the time!"
So while she still may not know the truth from the reality she's been spinning over the years...let's just give Courtney Love a round of applause for showing up.
