When it comes to Bethenny Frankel, of Real Housewives of New York fame, rumors are always flying. This week, however, reports are circulating that Bethenny could be bankrupt, following her sale of Skinnygirl, a nasty divorce/custody battle and surgery for her beloved dog Cookie.
Many fans were surprised to learn that Bethenny Frankel would be returning to this season's Real Housewives of New York.
After all, the reality star has had a number of successful ventures (except for that whole failed daytime TV show mess) following her initial departure from the series.
The biggest success, however, came when Bethenny sold her wildly popular alcohol franchise, Skinnygirl. But now, sources are claiming that Bethenny may be going broke.
According to Radar Online, Bethenny somehow went through $100 million:
"Bethenny Frankel has gone from filthy rich to slumming it on reality television just for the paycheck. Once worth around $100 million, Frankel was forced to sign back on to Real Housewives of New York because she's blowing through much of her cash...As RadarOnline.com reported, Frankel scored a generous $1 million payday from Bravo for returning to the show."
Although this report seems highly unlikely, Bethenny has had a number of expenditures. Perhaps the largest expense, though, can be credited to ex-husband Jason Hoppy.
The two had a widely publicized (and SUPER nasty) divorce proceeding.
And it doesn't look like that was Bethenny's only pitfall. According to Inquistr, Frankel also had to pay for surgery for her adorable (and aging) doggie, Cookie:
"Bethenny Frankel recently shared a picture of her dog, Cookie, who has been with her throughout her entire reality journey. But this picture revealed that Cookie had undergone surgery...Bethenny tried to send out some positive thoughts while sharing the picture, which showed her doing yoga and Cookie laying by her feet with a cone on her head."
