Samantha Cesena, Fiancee of Late Jazz Saxophonist Stan Getz, Files Petition to Remove Current Trustee

Renowned late jazz saxophonist Stan Getz unfortunately died in 1991 at 64 after an ongoing battle with liver cancer. Now, the woman he was engaged to upon his death has filed a petition asking the trustee of the trust, established on her behalf, be removed. Actress Samantha Cesena, according to My News L.A., filed the petition last Wednesday, Jan. 28, in Los Angeles Superior Court against Marvin Zolt. Getz executed his will in April 1991 and established the Samantha Trust for the benefit of his then-fiancee.

If you are not in the know about Getz, the jazz musician is known for popularizing the bossa nova sound and teamed up with other artists to record the 1964 Grammy-winning hit single "The Girl from Ipanema."

While Zolt could not be reached for comment, he has served as trustee of the Samantha Trust for 15 years. Cesena and her attorney had also first requested an accounting from him in November 2009 but, as the petition states, Zolt did not comply.

Also noted in the petition, too, was that Zolt had determined that the actress was to receive a monthly payment of $2,500 from the trust, but was not paid dues for several months dating from July 2013 to the present.

As of now, Cesena is believed to be owed about $35,000.

And for Cesena, the petition was filed after she discovered that Zolt had used multiple bank accounts to pay her from the trust. It is noted that that is also indicative of using the funds improperly.

In the meantime, while the case goes to court, get down with Getz below:
