Missy Elliott Dancer Alyson Stoner Pays Tribute to Femcee in Latest YouTube Homage

Much in the same vein as New York's "Showtime" dancers, that little girl from the old Missy Elliott videos, Alyson Stoner, has released a new music video paying tribute to the artist who gave her a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

If you were born before 2000 then you remember the name but the world's rediscovery of '90s hip-hop darling has sparked a resurgence of interest in not only her music but her aesthetic too. Since her Super Bowl appearance with Katy Perry, the legendary "femcee" has seen a nice boost in sales.

And if that wasn't enough, Stoner, 21, gave her a most sincere homage in a new dance video up on YouTube. She acknowledges at the end of tribute the impact Elliot had on her.

In the video Stoner dusts off moves from the old videos like "Work It" and "Gossip Folks" for a most unique commemoration to her once cowoker.

"My favorite video to film was 'Work It' because it began the incredible road ahead," she recently told BuzzFeed. "Missy was protective and thoughtful of us kids, removing us from the mature scenes and using the clean version when we filmed."

Missy even thanked her via Twitter.
