Good news Syfy devotees, cast favorites Ian Ziering and Tara Reid will be returning for the new Sharnado 3 sequel due out later this year. According to the latest gossip news spoilers updates, the frighteningly thin American Pie alumi will be pregnant in the new movie with iconic Hollywood sex-symbol Bo Dereck playing Tara's mom. Dreaming up new ways to disembowel flying fish isn't the only project Ian has on his plate either. The 50-year-old 90210 actor is still reportedly working on setting up a reunion for the TV show that originally made him and his Beverly Hills friends famous.
Sure, it seems like a no brainer now, but before he started filming Sharknado 3 Ian Ziering admitted to In Touch Weekly that he was strongly considering passing on the odd little franchise when it was first brought to him.
Ian admitted in the March 9, issue of the magazine that if not for his family duties forcing his hand, he would have almost definitely just walked away from the film:
"I was going to pass on it, but we were about to have our daughter and I needed to work, so I took one for the team.
"Then it took pop culture by storm!"
Thankfully for us, Ian not only signed up for the first Sharknado but the following two films as well.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ziering promised that as crazy as it sounds, this new movie was going to be even more over-the-top than the first two:
"This is where the shark hits the fan...It's bigger. It's badder.
"There's something coming that you're just not expecting."
Just as exciting if not more so is the news that Ian shared with In Touch about a possible 90210 reunion being in the works in a not too distant version of the future:
"I still talk to all the guys, and most of the girls.
"A reunion certainly is possible...when that will happen, though, nobody knows.
"I'm still happy to see them all whenever I do."
Oh, come on...can't you at least throw some of them a few small parts in your next shark-slasher sequel?
