In the eyes of many, Red Bull is simply a delicious drink that people reach for when they need a boost of energy. However, for others, it's a company that knows how to take extreme sports to unexplored places. One report recently discussed the making of the Red Bull Double Pipe and how the monstrosity reigns supreme as the worlds largest snow feature ever built. Slopestyle riders will have to push unfathomable boundaries in inconceivable ways to succeed in this competition. Also, the Red Bull Signature Series premiers soon, and it, too, will test competitors to the max.
Since the creation of the first stick and ball game, human beings have been obsessed with athleticism and competition. Now, needless to say, things have evolved far past the games created by our ancestors.
Yet, the heart of competition continues to excite people all over the world.
In fact, the evolution of sports has reached such extreme levels, that most of us would rather watch than participate. According to Redbull.com, their recent creation should give the world's best athletes a run for their money:
"Last season, the limits of snowboarding were pushed and [riders were challenged] to reinvent how they look at halfpipe riding...[Soon] those boundaries will be pushed even further with an updated course design...incorporating massive, side-by-side superspies [and] slopestyle features...making the Red Bull Double Pipe one of the largest single snow features built to date...Returning Double Pipe champion Taylor Gold will be joined by the two-time defending X Games champ, Danny Davis, and recent Air + Style champ Stale Sandbech."
Red Bull clearly isn't pulling any punches when testing the world's best athletes. In turn, that seems to have had a major impact on all of sports.
A recent report by Off-Road pointed out that more and more sports are becoming more and more extreme with each passing day:
"In the season premiere of the Red Bull Signature Series, nine of the best off-road truck drivers from across the country thunder through the treacherous snow covered mountains of Maine's Sunday River Resort when Red Bull Frozen Rush airs on NBC, Sunday, March 1 at 2 pm ET...On a racecourse built on a ski slope, the high-octane racing features long-standing legend and defending champion Ricky Johnson, as well as rising star Bryce Menzies..."
