Kelly Osbourne Quits ‘Fashion Police’ After Zendaya Patchouli & Weed Oscar Dread Comments & Twitter Rant

Earlier in the week, Giuliana Rancic became the center of a controversy after she said that Zendaya’s (Shake it Up, K.C. Undercover, Zapped) Oscar dreads made her look like she “smelled like patchouli oils, or weed.” on The Fashion Police. The way the shot was cut, it made it look like Rancic’s co-host, Kelly Osbourne was the one who added the “or weed,” part to the conversation. This caused Kelly to take to Twitter to vent her frustrations, and ultimately lead to her quitting the show.

Initially, thanks to some how the shot was edited, Kelly Osbourne was believed to have been the one to add the weed part the comment. However, Osbourne was not having any of it, tweeting:

“you guys do realize that @Zendaya is my friend right?”

Kelly Osbourne made her thoughts on the issue well known on Twitter, or as much as she could contractually say about the issue, writing:

“Im giving everyone involved 24 hours to make it right or the world will hear how I really feel. contractually I'm not allowed to speak!”

Kelly went on to talk about leaving the show, which she later did:

“I DID NOT MAKE THE WEED COMMENT. I DO NOT CONDONE RACISM SO AS A RESULT OF THIS IM SERIOUSLY QUESTIONING STAYING ON THE SHOW!”

Giuliana Rancic lattered issued an apology for the comments, to which Zendaya accepted. Kelly Osbourne went on applaud both women, tweeting:

“It takes a strong women to apologize & makes a forgiving women even stronger! #ThisTooShallPass”
