The official Mega Millions lottery drawing website is reporting on the recent big drawing:
“A lucky ticket holder in New York has won the estimated $127 million ($82 million cash value) Mega Millions jackpot on February 27. A single ticket had all six numbers – the five white balls 7, 49, 53, 60 and 64, plus the Mega Ball 4. The jackpot had been rolling since it was last won January 16 -- an Illinois resident recently claimed that $265 million jackpot as announced earlier this week.
“Also in the February 27 drawing, a Match 5 winning ticket was sold in Wisconsin, the second $1 million Mega Millions ticket sold in that state since the game was relaunched in October 2013.
“Between January 16 and February 27, more than 16.9 million prize-winning Mega Millions tickets were sold at all levels as the jackpot grew. They include eight Match 5 winners of $1 million or more and more than 300 winners of $5,000 to $25,000.”
The website goes on to add:
“SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The New York Lottery today confirmed that a jackpot-winning ticket for the February 27 Mega Millions drawing was purchased at the South Fallsburg Food Mart at 5105 Main Street in South Fallsburg. This sole winning ticket - purchased as a Quick Pick - is worth an estimated $127 million.
“The winning numbers for the February 27 Mega Millions drawing were 07 - 49 - 53 - 60 - 64 and Mega Ball 04.
