Taylor Swift's tabloid devotees are always quick to romantically attach the '1989' singer to any and every man she happens to get caught on camera with, but looks can be deceiving, According to the latest gossip news updates, Calvin Harris isn't the "Shake It Off" star's new boyfriend, even if they were holding hands at the recent BRIT Awards. The currently single singer seems to have a thing for older men, but former Oasis brother Noel Gallagher probably blew any future shot he had with the Instagram bikini model when he recently insulted her songwriting ability as a joke.
From the outside looking in last Wednesday at the BRIT Awards in London, you might have been convinced that Calvin Harris was successfully putting his best EDM moves on the "Blank Space" starlet.
An eyewitness to the handsy encounter told Heat Magazine that after Taylor and Calvin emerged from the VIP area holding hands they continued on to the dance floor with Karlie Kloss and Ellie Goulding in toe were the afterparty PDA was ratcheted up a notch or two (via Radar Online):
"Soon after, Swift flaunted her sexy moves to '99 Problems' by Jay Z as Harris' hand drifted from the singer's shoulders to her backside."
The site points out, however, that despite moving back to the private VIP area for the rest of the evening after that, the next day Taylor and Calvin went back to their lives like nothing had even happened:
"The next day, Swift flew back to LA while Harris stayed behind in London.
"Though they'd make a perfect pair -- sharing a number of mutual pop star pals -- Harris remains 'spoken for' by his girlfriend Aarika Wolf."
Despite all the attention her new album has been getting on both sides of the pond, former Oasis member, Noel Gallagher told the Roling Stone that he is less than sold on the idea of people celebrating Swift as a talented songwriter:
"Who's 'people'?
"Name these people.
"You're f--king lying. She seems like a nice girl, but no one has ever said those words, and you f--king know it."
