For the first time in months the tabloids have seen fit to let Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi enjoy their marriage instead of constantly speculating their going to divorce. According to all the latest gossip news updates, the only thing causing tension these days is the Scandal star's nasty habit of leaving her trash laying around the office of her wife's talk show for someone else to clean up, but word has it that Ellen really couldn't care less as long as they aren't fighting.
For the first time in a long time things are going so well between her and wife, Ellen DeGeneres, that Portia de Rossi is going around publicly joking about it.
When the Arrested Development alum dropped by Good Morning America to tell Robin Roberts about her getting the news she'd been cast in the Shonda Rhimes ran Scandal series on ABC, Portia openly laughed about the never ending rumors that her marriage is in trouble (via Daily Mail):
"My agent called and says, 'I have Scandal news.'
"You don't ever want to hear from your agent.
"I was like, 'Oh no, what? Are we divorcing again?'
"Gosh, I can't keep up with it."
Portia and Ellen may have finally worked out a truce they can each live with, but that doesn't mean things have gotten any easier on the people around them.
A behind-the-scenes eyewitness at Ellen's office claims in the March 16, issue of In Touch Weekly that Portia's lollipop addiction is at least twice as disgusting as her drinking ever was.
Word has it that it is absolutely nothing for Rossi to drop by Ellen's work place and just leave a half dozen of the sticks wherever she happens to be, whenever she is done with it:
"Portia expects that an assistant will pick it up.
"Portia needs to learn some manners...There are sticky used lollipop sticks all over the floor in the office and hallways.
"One time Ellen and Portia yelled at an assistant for not picking Portia's lollipop stick off the floor...It's really gross!"
Well...at least they have found a place to channel the sadistic rage other than at each other.
