After a ridiculously long hiatus, Shahs of Sunset's most popular cast member, Reza Farahan is definitely doing his part to support the TV show going into Season 4. According to the latest gossip news updates, the gay engaged reality star can't stand Real Housewives of Atlanta queen bee, NeNe Leakes. Reza still has tons of love for her New York Skinnygirl counterpart, Bethenny Frankel, however. The Beverly Hills real estate agent event weighted in on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recent speech to Congress.
It isn't always easy for the poor cast of Shahs of Sunset -- perpetually trapped between and judged by two cultures.
During a recent interview with The Commission Show on PNC Radio, Reza Farahan explains how frustrating it is to be told that your behavior is letting down scores of people that you never even met (via Fashion & Style):
"For the Persian community that doesn't like our show and think we're misrepresenting it, they're stupid! There aren't any six Persians or Iranians that can represent a population.
"We're not a mother-f--king National Geographic show."
Sadly, Reza often finds himself having to explain his own Iran-centric world view every time anyone says anything about the Middle East.
When talking with HuffPost Live to promote the show Farahan found himself having to weigh in on Benny Netanyahu's recent speech to the Republican ran Congress (via MSNBC):
"If he wants to bomb Iran, I'm totally in support of him.
"I think we should've invaded Iran instead of Iraq...Because the Iranians would've appreciated it and they would've been liberated, whereas the Iraqis didn't want us there and they don't appreciate it."
Fortunately, Reza is just as well versed in the behind-the-scenes machinations at Bravo as he is with politics in the Middle East -- not skipping a beat when the subject of most and least favorite network star was broached:
"NeNe Leakes, she's a moose, I can't stand the bitch.
"I should say Watch What Happens Live, but I'm not...'Cuz [Andy Cohen] is not my boss anymore.
"I love the Real Housewives franchises. New York is my favorite because my girl Bethenny [Frankel] is back.
"Did I mention NeNe's a moose?"
Maybe Reza could kill two bird with one stone by suggesting that we send NeNe Leakes to invade Tehran.
