Tonight, the hit CW series Supernatural is back on its new night. Recently, Rowena actress Ruth Connell opened up about Stargate’s Teryl Rothery’s new character Olivette.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode, titled “Paint It Black,” reads:
“Sam and Dean investigate a series of suicides committed by people who all killed themselves with self-administered disembowelment. The probe reveals the victims were all members of a Catholic church and had recently given confession. Meanwhile, Crowley captures Olivette, the leader of the Grand Coven; and Rowena pleads her case to once again be allowed to practice magic freely.”
Recently, Rowena actress Ruth Connell opened up to Entertainment Weekly about Teryl Rothery’s new character Olivette:
“She’s played by Teryl Rothery from Stargate. We got along really well, had a fantastic time ripping each other to shreds. To be blunt, Olivette was the bane of my life. She was the reason I was ostracized from the community. All of this has been about Rowena reclaiming her power base. The last episode, it looked like I was going to get Crowley to help me go after he.
“Then I was very disappointed when he went and helped the Winchesters instead. So for him to then make amends in a way--or he’s probably got another reason for doing it as well, I’m sure--but for him to offer Olivette, to capture her for me and put her in front of me, it’s kind of like, ‘What do you do when you’ve got the thing in front of you that you’ve been running from, that you’ve been afraid of and that you also hate?’ It doesn’t turn out how you think it might. I can’t wait for the fans to see the last scene.”
