Sony may have killed off Emma Stone’s character Gwen Stacy in Amazing Spider-man 2, and dropped her boyfriend Andrew Garfield from the upcoming Marvel and Disney Avengers crossover, but that didn’t stop kids from voting for her at the 2015 Kids Choice Awards. Spider-Gwen herself, Emma Stone won the Orange Blimp for Favorite Movie Actress.
Broadway Cabaret actress Emma Stone was named the very first winner of the 2015 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards on Saturday night for her role as the ill fated Gwen Stacy in Sony’s Amazing Spider-Man.
Emma Stone escaped being slimed but did slap a little slime on the audiance while making her way the stage.
Emma Stone beat out some acting heavyweights for the win, including in full, Angelina Jolie (Maleficent), Cameron Diaz (Annie) Elle Fanning (Maleficent), Jennifer Garner(Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day), and Megan Fox(Ninja Turtles).
