One might imagine that seeing the tabloids full of stories that your husband wants a divorce has to have an effect on even the strongest of marriages. According to the latest gossip news updates, Pretty Woman actress Julia Roberts is pushing Danny Moder into couples' therapy to save their marriage, before she has to split her reported $225 million net worth with the camera man. Word has it that Julia, who has lost both her sister, Nancy, and mother, Betty Lou, within the last year, even got her hubby a job on her new movie, The Secret in Their Eyes, so they can still work on their relationship while at work.
Shortly after the death of her mother, it was being reported that Julia Roberts' husband, Danny Moder, was looking to get out of their 12-year marriage and strike out on his own once again.
A source claimed in the March 23, issue of Star that Moder just couldn't deal with his wife's constant need for attention -- whether positive or negative:
"She is a very emotional person -- screaming one minute and apologizing the next -- and he can't take it anymore...He wants out."
"He demanded that she stop hindering his dreams and let him be his own person."
While a close friend of the couple insists that there is nothing wrong with their marriage, the informant told the National Enquirer that the earlier reports did prompt a paranoid Julia to sign them up for couples' therapy as soon as possible:
"The marriage is not in trouble...But the second Julia noticed they were growing apart, she warned Danny that divorce was not an option."
"They don't want that spark between them to fade, and the counseling sessions are more of an intentional meeting so they don't grow apart."
According to the spy, more than a chance to work on problems in their marriage, the counseling is meant to be the couple's hour-long respite from the rest of the world:
"Now they have a committed time and day where they show up at their therapist's office and talk.
"It's often the only time all week that they're together alone."
Julia is even rumored to have got Danny a job on her new movie, The Secret in Their Eyes, so they can have even more time together, when she's not having to shoot.
Because, nothing says you respect a person's independence like getting them a job where you work.
