‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Cast Ellen Pompeo Treats Taylor Swift; Kate Walsh Praises Shonda Rhimes after Talking Season 11 Cameo [ABC NEWS]

The thing to know about titular Grey's Anatomy actress Ellen Pompeo is that if you name you cat after her she will always be there for you; or at least that's how it works for '1989' singer Taylor Swift. According to the latest gossip news updates, when the "Blank Space" beauty posted a picture scratch from her pet cat, Meredith Grey, to Instagram, the real Meredith Grey reached out to give the pop star her best medical advice. Now that Private Practice is over and Bad Judge is kaput, Kate Walsh is once again singing ABC showrunner Shonda Rhimes' praises, as she openly muses about how willing she'd be to make a cameo in Season 11 of the original TV show that birthed Shondaland.

As it turns out, Taylor Swift's Meredith Grey is no less feisty than her Shonda Rhimes cast counterpart.

The 24-year-old internationally loved superstar recently lamented on Instagram that like Derek Shepherd she just wanted some loving but instead was made to pay the price:

GREAT WORK MEREDITH I WAS JUST TRYING TO LOVE YOU AND NOW YOU OWE ME 40 MILLION DOLLARS

Not one to leave a friend in need hanging -- especially one nice enough to name their cat after her character -- Ellen Pompeo reached out to let Taylor know she was there for her if needed (via MStarz):

"This is awkward because my namesake did this but as your doctor please keep that scratch clean!

"Yours truly, the real Dr. Grey."

Kate Walsh would soon like to be rubbing shoulders on the set of Grey's Anatomy if Pompeo ever needs a second opinion on Swift's Instagram wounds.

The former Private Practice star told CBS News that in her opinion Shonda Rhimes changed things for the better when she got Grey's on ABC:

"I feel she did something kind of marvelous for women that had started to get done in TV, but really hadn't been done, which is give them real characters that were three-dimensional and interesting on their own."

Of course, having said all that, it makes perfect sense that Walsh also admitted she was ready to jump at the chance to get back on the show, if ever Rhimes thought she needed her:

"If she invited me to come and do something, I absolutely would.

"It's like coming home for the holidays."

If Grey's ever decides to do an all musical episode again, maybe Shonda can have both Swift and Walsh on all at once.
