Things seemed eerily quite when Sofia Vergara and her former fiancé, Nick Loeb, split after almost five years together, and now everyone knows the reason why. According to the latest gossip news updates, the Modern Family Instagram bikini model was in the middle of a legal dispute over who gets control of their embryos at the time of the breakup announcement. It's being reported that her ex-boyfriend is not only alleging that Sofia planned to have their defenseless little fertilized eggs destroyed as soon as she got the chance but often abused him physically and emotionally during the time that the dated. Sadly, this latest story comes just as the reports that Vergara had just ordered her Joe Manganiello wedding dress from Donatella Versace started to go around.
Nick Loeb certainly seemed to have nothing but nice things to say about Sofia Vergara at the time of their split, but that is apparently because he was saving the truly vicious accusation for his official court documents.
Not only in the 39-year old condiment tycoon alleging that his ex-girlfriend is trying to murder their unborn frozen babies, it's revealed in the April 27, issue of In Touch Weekly, that Loeb is also accusing Sofia of having a history of violence in the documents he's filed with the California courts:
"She punched him in the face on two occasions, kicked him and threw her phone at his head.
"She also routinely bullied him, calling him a 'loser', 'worthless' and other degrading names."
While her Modern Family cast mate didn't get into the nitty-gritty details of the situation, she did tell the NY Daily News that the timing of Nick's court complaints couldn't seem less appropriate:
"I am so sad that on the eve of all of her great happiness that had to happen, but at the same time, I know that she will be perfectly fine.
"I mean she's sort of amazed...I think she's a bit shocked because it kind of came out of nowhere.
"But she's a great person. And she's with a great guy...now.
"That's what I have to say about that."
Vergara's attorney, Fred Silberberg, had plenty more to say about the matter, however -- especially regarding the validity of Loeb's insidious claims.
According to Sofia's lawyer, this whole charade is nothing more than an attempt by Loeb to harass his client:
"The claims made against Sofia Vergara by Nick Loeb are uncredible and hold no merit.
"Vergara has never suggested that she wished to have the embryos destroyed.
"She has always maintained that they be kept frozen, a fact of which Loeb and his counsel have always been aware, despite Loeb's statements to the contrary."
On a happier note, a source close to Sofia told Star Magazine, that Joe Manganiello's bride-to-be has already order her new wedding dress from Donatella Versace, but the Columbian maverick has asked that it be made in bright yellow instead of a more traditional color:
"She's knows she isn't a typical bride...[but] yellow is her favorite color, so that's what she wants to wear."
Way to convince the whole world that Sofia's only real mistake was ever dating you in the first place there, Nick.
