Avril Lavigne and Husband Chad Kroeger Near Divorce after Health Scare; Deryck Whibley Still Recovering?

"Hello Kitty" post-punk rocker, Avril Lavigne, seems to be back on her feet after months of being sidelined by Lyme disease, but word has it Avril's health recovered in spite of her husband, Chad Kroger's absence. According to the latest gossip news updates, the Instagram bikini model is just about ready to divorce the Nickleback frontman after he spent the vast majority of his wife's illness reportedly letting Lavigne convalesce on her own. In a related story, Avril's ex-husband, Deryk Whibhley, is also said to be steadily recovering since his near-death brush with alcoholism last year.

While Avril Lavigne seems happy to finally speak out about her recent battle with Lyme disease as well as her support of the Special Olympics, she's had surprisingly little to say about her husband, Chad Kroeger.

As Radar Online points out, Avy didn't mind talking a little about her personal life during her recent Special Olympics single promotion but was pretty short when it came to the subject of Kroeger:

"She credited her amazing family and fans with helping her through the devastating ordeal, and when asked about her Nickelback frontman husband, 40, Lavigne simply stated he was "supportive."

"But it doesn't seem like Kroeger has been around the ailing Lavigne all that much over the past year. The couple hasn't been spotted together since April 25, 2014, when they shopped at Fred Segal in Hollywood."

Although Lavigne will have to worry about flare ups related to her Lyme disease for the rest of her life, her ex-husband, Deryck Whibley is still getting stronger every day since giving up alcohol last year.

During an interview with Fox News, Deryck explained that he was lucky that his body gave out at an early enough age that he might still have a real life to live now that he's sober and healthy for the first time in a longtime:

"I'm glad it happened now and not when I'm like, 50, because my body wouldn't have been able to handle it.

"But it's unfortunate that it had to even come to that.

"However, now I'm feeling better than I've ever felt. I'm healthier. I'm in the best shape of my life. I'm more productive."

It just too bad Avril's medical and martial issues can't be so easily fixed.
