Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has already started filming and the cast just keeps getting bigger and bigger. It was recently announced that Arrow star Stephen Amell was joining the cast as, the hockey mask wearing vigilante, Casey Jones. Later it was confirmed that we see Bebop and Rocksteady in the new movie. Now, it has been announced that Tyler Perry (Madea franchise, Gone Girl) has been cast as the mad scientist Baxter Stockman.
Baxter Stockman is well known to TMNT fans from almost every incarnation, expect the first film series. Stockman is a mad scientist/robotics expert who created the Mousers.
Aligned with the Foot clan, Stockman uses his genius to build robotic creations for Shredder and Krang (Kraang) to use against the Turtles.
In the 1987 animated series, Stockman was a caucasian, but has been portrayed as an African American in every other form, including the original comics where he made his first appearance.
Stockman is often portrayed as a cyborg or a mutant fly. It is still unknown what fate will befall Stockman in the new film.
