It is looking like the Silent Hills cancellation rumors are true. The long-awaited revamp of the horror game series was expected to star The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus with Pacific Rim's Guillermo del-Toro serving as assistant director. However, new comments and Guillermo and Reedus have confirmed that it is not happening, at least not now.
While in attendance at the San Francisco International Film Festival , photojournalist Matt Hackney posted a quote from Guillermo del-Toro, discussing the cancellation of the project, or at least his involvement:
Norman Reedus has confirmed this, posting on Twitter:
“Super bummed about this was really looking forward to it. Hopefully it'll come back around. Sorry everyone.”
