NBC Brian Williams FIRED After War Lies, Exaggerations; Returning to Air? [RUMORS]

It looks like NBC's onetime-beloved news anchor, Brian Williams, is almost certain to be fired from his longtime home. An independent investigation conducted by NBC has determined that Williams lied or exaggerated many more claims than originally thought. Despite the report's findings, many are calling for Brian Williams to return to the air.

Things are not looking great for NBC's Brian Williams, who was suspended earlier in the year, after it was revealed that he fabricated stories about his wartime coverage.

At the time, NBC suspended the esteemed news anchor for six months while an internal investigation was conducted.

Well, the results of this investigation was recently made public, and it turns out that Brian's exaggerated comments were not isolated.

According to AV Club, at least 11 other instances occurred:

"[Brian Williams] gravitas was put into anchorman purgatory for six months while the Peacock took a closer look at the man it had entrusted to have salon-quality hair and read the news. Now the results of NBC's months-long Brian Williams watchathon are in, and The Washington Post reports that the network was discovered more falsehoods. NBC has identified a total of 11 embellishments..."

Although many outlets, especially those on the far right, have called for Brian Williams to be fired, there are still many who support Mr. Williams and wish he would return to NBC.

Mr. Wolff with USA Today, for example, calls for Williams to return to the news desk. In fact, Mr. Wolff actually blames NBC and Comcast for the mishandling of the situation:

"NBC, lacking Fox's strong management, seems unable to defend its own interests (or even to quite know what they are), and is riven by many internal factions competing for power and standing. Comcast is not a natural manager of talent, and has imposed at NBC many layers of management between it and the news division."

What do you think of the latest reports? Should Williams be fired for his lies?
