Jay Z, Beyonce and Justin Timberlake Honor Murdered Teen Trayvon Martin, Upset By George Zimmerman Trial Jury Decision [UPDATE]

Celebrities like Jay Z, Beyonce and Justin Timberlake took time out of their busy schedules to honor Trayvon Martin. They join a growing list of people upset by the George Zimmerman trial jury decision not to charge Zimmerman with murdering the teen.

Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake happened to be in New York over the weekend. The pair, who are co-headlining the Legends of the Summer Tour, dedicated a song to the late 17-year-old Florida native.

They closed their show Friday, which was being held at NYC’s Yankee Stadium, with a rendition of Jay-Z’s “Forever Young.” The song was meant as a tribute to the young man, in the wake of the Jury’s not guilty verdict in the controversial Zimmerman Trial.

That wasn’t all Mr. Carter did, either. He and his lovely wife, Beyonce Knowles, attended a rally that was held the following day. The pair spoke out about the verdict while joining a large crowd of protesters.

This wasn’t the first time Beyonce addressed the issue, as The Huffington Post reported:

“Beyonce took a moment to honor Martin during her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour concert at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn. Her concert started about 30 minutes after the Zimmerman verdict began to circulate. ‘I'd like to have a moment of silence for Trayvon,’ the pop star said as the stage grew dark with just a few key lights shining.”

After the moment of silence, the singer performed the chorus of “I Will Always Love You,” a song that was written by Dolly Parton and immortalized by Whitney Houston.
