'One Piece' Live-Action Anime Releases 2015 Summer Dates?

One Piece is probably about the biggest anime/manga in the business going right now. Its immense popularity needs no descriptive adjectives to enhance it. How can it get any hotter as we approach the summer months? The answer is simple. With the help of Universal Studios Japan, a One Piece live action spectacular will again be rolling out

"The One Piece Premier Summer" kicks off July 3 and will run until September 30th This summer, as in the past, Universal Studios Japan will be rolling out a One Piece live-action spectacular on its Waterworld stage. As with the previous incarnations of the show, it will be more performance oriented than stunt.

In previous years, the event included One Piece-themed food, merchandise at gift shops, statues of the beloved characters that visitors can pose for pictures with, water gun battles and face-painting.

All told Universal Studios Japan will host 73 performances from July 3 through September 30. According to AnimeNewsNetwork.com, tickets will go on sale May 25 and cost between 1980 to 4980 yen ($16 to 41 US dollars).

One Piece got its first official theme park in March inside the famous Tokyo Tower in Japan. Laced with attractions, live events, a restaurant and an original merchandise shop, it is every One Piece fan's dream.

Nearing its 20th year as a manga, the series is still going strong today and is one of the most highly favored manga/anime is quite a long time. Proof of its popularity are these well attended events where the diehard fan gets to dream about and meet their favorite characters and immerse themselves in the true One Piece experience.
